What is TAC and WorkCover treatment?
TAC (Transport Accident Commission) and WorkCover treatments are physiotherapy services for people recovering from injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents or at work. The focus is on helping you recover safely, restore function and return to work and daily activities as smoothly as possible.
How it works
Treatment begins with a thorough assessment of your injury, symptoms and personal goals. From there we develop an individual rehabilitation plan, which may include hands-on therapy, targeted exercise, pain management strategies and education. The aim is to reduce pain and rebuild your strength, mobility and confidence.
WorkCover clients
Rehab often includes work-specific conditioning to prepare you for the physical demands of your job. We keep in clear contact with your employer, case manager and other healthcare providers so everyone is aligned on a safe, timely return to work.
TAC clients
Treatment focuses on injuries from transport accidents, which may include:

What do I need to bring to my first TAC or WorkCover appointment?
Bring your claim number, the date of your injury, your insurer or case manager’s details, and any referral or medical certificate you have. If you don’t have a claim number yet, call us and we will help.
Do I have to pay for TAC or WorkCover treatment?
Approved treatment is usually billed to your claim. Any fees not covered by the scheme are your responsibility, so check with us if you are unsure.
